Walked to and swam in waterfall which is breathtakingly beautiful. Long pretty drive in from town-2 gates you need code for. "This was our first time ever at a bed snd breakfast. I wasn't sure what to expect. I'd say Intimate would be a good word, and friendly. Laurie the owner welcomed us personally, and there were two other couples there. The morning communal breakfast gave us a taste of the local fruits and breads, all hand preparec. "Great, quiet property atop the Hilo rainforest. It had everything we needed. Communication was excellent. Definitely needed a car to get around. But everything in Hilo was less than 15 minutes away. 4 stars for cleanliness, only because the house, like all houses in Hilo are older. But bedding, towels, kitchen and everything else is clean. We will definitely stay at the property again."

"Put this review off for awhile intending to dismiss it but was reminded again so here goes. Large home in convenient location, with all the necessities. Just a few things that would be better is if screens/windows were repaired or replaced so they can be opened to allow airflow and less use of a/c. Especially in the upstairs bathroom. We couldn’t figure out where the outside stairs light was, which would have been helpful as it was quite dark when getting back at night. Felt a little sheepish...

"I was super excited to stay at this property. The pluses...the Koy pond. The fish are amazing and love to eat. Also, the sounds at night from nature. Would have been nice to have a lounger in the sun room rather than just chairs. Not many other pluses. We tried to get connected to Internet. The welcome book didn't seem to match the house. The descriptions were off. There were at least 5 remotes but none of them did anything. Only one turned off and on the TV. TV was activated through Roku....
