"This property is in an awkward area that is not bad but not "pretty". The air conditioning hardly cooled the room and was an older unit. Definitely should be updated. All this being said, the staff was AMAZING, the breakfast was FABULOUS, the amenities were better than 4 star hotels that I have stayed in and everything was super clean. Would definitely recommend if not during summer and one has a car to get to the prettier areas."

"I'm reluctant to review our experience to keep this magical place to ourselves, and for fear that it will change. Nicole, Luigi, Guisepi, Michelo, and the rest of the staff/family including Noah the dog, made our stay at Il Cefalo truly enchanting. "We used the Hotel Venere as a bed and breakfast base to cycle around the Parco Nazionale del Cilento e Vallo di Diano. Being out of the main holiday season the area was quite with only one restaurant open in Ascea - but this had the advantage that the roads were quite. The hotel is only a short distance from the railway station meaning that it was easy to transport bikes."

"We went to Padula to trace my family's ancestry. We planned a two day trip to Padula and were treated to excellent hospitality and comfort at the Grand Hotel Certosa. The location is perfect nestled at the bottom ot the town near the Certosa. The restaurant is excellent too and the staff was very helpful in directing us, helping us with information etc. Highly recommended for a stay in Padula."
