"The Hotel was in a perfect position for touring the Island and we enjoyed our short visit. It was clean and breakfast on both mornings was very good. We ate in the restaurant on 1 night and the food was very nice….especially the Seafood Salad! We were disappointed in the bar service…..the member of staff refused to serve us in the lounge and insisted that we go to the public bar. Mt husband has mobility issues so this wasn’t ideal especially as she then told us we could take our drinks back into...

"Got an upgrade from a single bed at the shore to a double within the larger Kirkwall hotel and the room was beautiful. For what I paid It was fantastic value for money. I would have given five stars but for one niggle. Room 215 could do with sound proofing as I heard two people speaking until the early hours either in my neighbouring room, or between levels. I had to use my earphones to get sleep to tune them out. I wonder what like it would be if either room was watching a film if I can hear...

"Friendly guest house, with thoughtful touches making it a comfortable and unique place to stay. Breakfast is delicious and cooked exactly to order. Location is ideal, a short walk into the centre of Kirkwall, with amazing views out over the hills. Highly recommended!"
