"We arrived on Ascencion day from the little yellow train to no bus or taxi from Villefranc to the hotel - locals gathered together at the station to take us to the hotel in a private car - refused to accept any payment. Next day we needed to do washing, again let down by taxi's to get to laundry (at the local supermarket and a local again gave us a lift but let down again by taxi's to return (not far enough). "A present surprise in a quite residential area but just a short walk into the small beautiful old town. We enjoyed a beer at a bar in the town square before walking back to the Hotel for Dinner. Charming restaurant with very nice food and a super helpful waiter who spoke excellent English and made us very welcome. Breakfast was simple but adequate.
