"The room was basic but comfortable and clean. Great view from the balcony. Above all, the amazing hospitality of Fabric was outstanding - genuinely friendly, huge character. He generously recommended a shop where i could buy delices - and took the trouble to drew me a map of how to get there the following morning. "Rustic Hotel, with reasonable charm. Food good. Wifi was so weak as to be unusable all the time I was there. The signal was fine, but it seemed that everyone else in the hotel must have been watching videos. It isn't free wifi, if you cannot use it!"

"The Josephine room was amazing. We booked it for a week over Christmas with the goal of having a place where we could hunker down and cook a nice meal on the 24th and 25th. The place was perfect. It's a short walk into town and the Christmas market, or you can walk along the canal, or even head into the hills for a hike which we took advantage of on a couple occasions. "We booked this small hotel without knowing the area. Philippsburg is not the most popular stopping place for tourists, but we liked it for it's authenticity and quiet. We walked around the village and the nearby lake and the surrounding forests were wonderful."

"Logistically great! Accommodated very late arrival, all in English, coordinated via WatsApp without an issue, hotel in a nice location, local historical building. Definitely come here if you want the traditional Alsace experience. Easy parking in front of hotel. Room looked like new although the building is hundreds years old."
