"This was our first stay and we really enjoyed it. We were a family of 3 and had a double and pullout / sofa bed. The air conditioning was very effective and the room very quiet. The swimming pool facilities are fantastic and a real highlight of a stay. We'd have appreciated longer hours for our kid to be able to use the indoor pool (perhaps lunchtime when the pool is a lot emptier). I'd suggest relaxing the hours in off-season also. "In a quiet area within easy walking of city centre, beaches, local shops. Could have been better if there was a bit more information about getting around eg buses, ferries, bikes etc. Staff always polite. "

"This converted 18th-century home was the perfect stay for my family. Rooms were beautiful and clean, and the bathroom was a good size. Our room was on the 2nd level, which made me concerned about the street noise, but the area was so quiet and peaceful we slept with ease. We will be back to stay the next time we are in Rocheforte. "A run down hotel with a lot needed to bring ip its standard. My tour across Spain and France has seen many fantastic laces to stay for less money. Even the free internet was broken in a town where O2 coverage was poor. Sadly i couldnt wait to leave. The photos give the wrong impression"

"When we arrived at 5.00pm on Sunday afternoon the hotel was deserted. Automatic check-in machine! If someone had been at reception we would have asked to change our room,particularly as the place appeared practically empty, because our shower head bracket was broken so had to be hand held for the entire stay. Also being sited on the 2nd floor was difficult for us as we are both over 70 and have both had hip surgery. We enjoyed our continental breakfast each day and our swim in the nice private...
