"A stale kitchen smell hung around the reception and permeated the building. No lights were on and it was like entering a dark cave. I normally like quaint old hotels but this was just down at heel and dispiriting. The photographer must be very clever as the reality was dismal. The sauna was an extra 55 Euros so we didnt use it and didn't eat there as the stale smell was so unappetising. We would not have stayed except that we had booked and paid in advance."

The grouting in the bathroom was a bit black and mouldy. The lighting in the room needs to be improved as it was also very dark. We booked a family room with a queen bed to sleep 4.When I made the reservation I made it quite clear it was for 3 adults and the booking was accepted. "Quiet, comfortable, helpful and friendly staff and excellent traditional breakfast. Dinner in restaurant excellent. "

"I was expecting so much more but it wasn’t there, which was a great shame. For a hotel to forget to replenish the toilet roll is unforgivable. Needs a lot of work to bring it up to standard. Breakfast lacked choice."
