"On the hillside across the fjord from the airport and town, it was in the middle of having an extension when we were there (boy, Icelandic builders are hardy) so was a little out of sorts. That said, it is kept in immaculate order, and I’m sure the extension will be great. Currently it’s just 8 rooms, and won’t be so much bigger next year, but will have an internal lift so you don’t have to go outside to get to the lower rooms. There isn’t a restaurant, but the breakfast buffet is a good start...

"Overall it was a good, cheap stay for a night. It's not very far from all the restaurants and bars, but it is also at the top of a fairly large hill. The facilities were nice enough. Though the tv in my room was flickering. I'd recommend if you just need a place to stay for a night or two. "

However, coming here during the last week of November, we found the entry stairs to be completely covered over with ice (super dangerous), and I mean THICK ice. I was scared climbing them even with my great hiking boots. And the roads on the way in were snowy.
