"As noted by every other reviewer, the hotel might benefit from an update. But it is also possible the 80s vibe is completely intentional and something they are happy to keep! Every person from the staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, and I was very happy to find they had blackout blinds. "The hotel property and grounds were beautiful. The staff friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast was very good. It's a great base for exploring the area. The only issue we had was probably due to us travelling in the off season. It was very difficult to find many open restaurants for dinner. I don't know if this is practical for the hotel but it may be worth their while to offer meals in the evening. The restaurants we found had excellent cuisine. "This was the most welcoming place that we stayed of 7 places on our trip to Italy (which included 2 B&Bs). The room was clean. Loved the hotel and staff.

"The hotel property and grounds were beautiful. The staff friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast was very good. It's a great base for exploring the area. The only issue we had was probably due to us travelling in the off season. It was very difficult to find many open restaurants for dinner. I don't know if this is practical for the hotel but it may be worth their while to offer meals in the evening. The restaurants we found had excellent cuisine. To be clear this is a suggestion and nor a complaint. I'm sure during high season this isn't a problem. We loved our stay."

"Staff was very friendly and attentive. As many hotels in Italy, that at one time they were filled with tourists, business meetings, and events , that has changed. The hotel is tired and can use a fresh update. The staff maintained excellent and welcoming service. This hotel was a gem in its day but the staff and service shine bright!"
