"We used Le Mas des Boires as a home base for a family wedding (service in Saint-Jean-de-Côle, reception at Chateau des Boires). The property was beautiful with a wonderful outdoor garden, refreshing pool (although smaller than the picture), and well-appointed stately rooms with private bathrooms (we had two large side-by-side rooms with balconies that overlooked the property. We loved the historic charm of the building - huge manger in the dining room; stone walls, exposed wood beams, etc....

Great value for money and the hotel is perfectly placed to discover the jewels of the Dordogne such as Perigueux and the cave paintings at Lascaux. "Very friendly hotel with an excellent restaurant, the food was beautifully presented and very tasty. Not a lot in La Coquille but was a good location for a wedding we were attending. Breakfast was good with tea available. Could do with a kettle in the room as there is nowhere around at night if you want a hot drink."
