"Excellent welcome from receptionist/waitress. Clean room with all basic needs met for an overnght stay with good bed and pillows. Well lit room. Some noise from next room. Poor choice in restaurant. No dishes of the day and no entrecote at 7 pm, which was the only appealing dish. Snall portion of sausage with 2 boiled potatoes and slice of ham with chips very overpriced, as was the wine.Very disappointed.. Breakfast selection also poor value at €14,50. "Listed building so a little querky. No aircon but roof fan worked well, and quiet. Location 2 minute walk from town centre. Parking right beside hotel and safe. But above all the staff where extremely helpful 😀"

"Mixed review. We stayed on a Sunday evening. Be prepared to not be able to get anything food & drink wise at the hotel past 3pm. Staff were helpful in finding us restaurants nearby that would be open for dinner but without a car options were very very limited. Had a misunderstanding on checkout which whilst was an accident on their side I felt very awkward and uncomfortable about so service then was quite poor. Room was very clean. Lake view lovely. "Not a bad hotel, room was very large and clean but unfortunately not possible to take a proper shower in the room where I was staying cause the water stopped running continuously on the third floor and the other minus: a lot of flies on the food at the breakfast buffet."

"We stayed here with our 3 children (aged 9, 6 and 1) for one night on our way to our holiday in Italy. The hotel is attractive with high ceilings and wooden beams. Our room was excellent, with a double bed and bathroom downstairs and a mezzanine with 3 single beds and another bathroom. We also had a nice terrace overlooking the forest. "Convenient to everything that interested us-- salt mine, restaurants, parking."

"The hotel is looking tired and in need of some care. It is positioned on a busy road which is particularly noisy from 6.00am onwards and again in the evening. We booked in for 3 nights and were given a room closest to the road ! This does not encourage us to rebook. "Never again will I use this hotel or Hotels.com. I had booked and paid for 3 rooms for my party of 4 persons. I was given two rooms and charged for 5 breakfasts.
