The 'Panorama' restaurant in the 4-star building felt more like a converted banquet room or a small college dining room. Uninspiring, though the rest of the 4-start property (where we did our check-in and check-out) was attractive. I don't stay much in resort hotels, so I am not be the best judge. I couldn't really fault...

Homecooked food depending on what is growing / farmed locally. 500 years old but extended and beuatifully maintained. Full of character. Beautiful gardens. Manageress was brilliant and very friendly. I would thoroughly recomment a stay there not matter how long. I intend to return next year with my wife for a holiday in the area."
