"The restaurant whilst I believe not connected to the motel but advertised extensively in the rooms is a disaster . At 8.30 am we went to the restaurant to have a buffet breakfast as advertised on a board just outside the restaurant . Once inside we were told they were not doing the buffet . We ordered our breakfast inc. iced coffee on the menu but were told she did not know how to make iced coffee . At this point there was only 3 other people in the restaurant. "We wanted a quiet overnight stay in the countryside close enough to the Wivenhoe Dam. Woodlands is in a unique and delightful setting on the top of a hill. You need to have reasonable walking ability to enjoy the gardens. Because it was a Monday night we travelled about 5 kms to the Sundowner Saloon on the Warrego Highway for dinner. This added to our happy experience. "
