"This was the first stop on our trip thru Spain, embarking from Bilbao. Four sixty year olds looking for peace and quiet. We had driven through awesome mountain scenery and arrived at the hotel to be greeted by George (can't spell the Spanish version) who gave us a history of the area. The rooms were simple but very comfortable, with a bed that we didn't want to get out of! There were 6 rooms in an outside block, each with a small patio area and chairs and a mountain view. "We had a very good experience even though it was just for sleeping. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast for two days, it was great (no bacon and eggs). Very clean and everything new, jungle theme. The only thing that we didn’t like was the no facility of tea/coffee/kettle in the room. Bar/coffee at the reception area. Thank you very much."

"A small restaruant/bar hotel situated on a quiet road with Canga De Onis a 20 minute drive in one direction and Las Arenas a 10 minute drive in the other. The whole place is spotlessly clean and the rooms are cleaned daily. Bedrooms are comfy and simple, with no kettle or fridge. The restaurant serves a good selection of typical Asturian and Spanish dishes in addition to wood fired BBQ on Fri/Sat. "The central location in the older part of the city could not be bettere. Five minutes on foot from excellent restaurants and the Basilica. Front desk service was friendly and efficient with good English. "

"We loved our stay at Hotel Puerte del Oriente! We booked last minute and wanted to be well located to take advantage of beaches or the mountains. The location is beautiful-close to Llanes for accessing more restaurants and services, but far enough off the busy track to feel very pastoral and relaxing. Our host was very welcoming, the room was very comfortable, and breakfast was delicious! We wished we could have stayed longer in this peaceful place."
