"Great location, lovely pool! The rooms are spacious. It would. We didn't know until we left that there were some breakfast products available in the building next to the pool. Also, there wasn't any info on the gym. A bit more comprehensive info in English (probably other languages too) would really help. Also, check in time of 5pm is really late, and check out of 10 is too early. I appreciate they need to clean a whole apartment, but its difficult to work with those times."

"The desk staff at this hotel was incredibly unfriendly. We booked two nights total, coming and going. On the second arrival the desk clerk was rude, confrontational and we learned later a liar. The location on the river isn’t worth the toxic environment created by the desk staff. There are better friendly alternatives."

"Compact and well appointed , we liked the sliding shutters that kept out the sun, and tge masses of storage. It would be a great place to spend several days exploring the area. Julien and Angelique are good hosts who made us feel very welcome, and it was lovely to be able to have an excellent dinner there too after a long drive. We felt the only thing that let it down was the minimalist breakfast- not very good value. We would certainly return, but maybe not for breakfast."

"We used Le Mas des Boires as a home base for a family wedding (service in Saint-Jean-de-Côle, reception at Chateau des Boires). The property was beautiful with a wonderful outdoor garden, refreshing pool (although smaller than the picture), and well-appointed stately rooms with private bathrooms (we had two large side-by-side rooms with balconies that overlooked the property. We loved the historic charm of the building - huge manger in the dining room; stone walls, exposed wood beams, etc....

"We were disappointed upon arrival to learn that the onsite restaurant was closed. Our stay was at the end of the season but we were unaware of the closure. This was the only problem with our stay. At first WiFi to our room did not connect but manager/owner worked diligently and successfully got it working! "One of our favorite hotels in France! Lovely location overlooking the peaceful Dordogne area in a tiny charming town. Friendly staff goes out of their way to assist guests! Fun ping pong. Fabulous dinner salad! Terrific breakfast with homemade treats and excellent fruit in variety. Wonderful pool with views. Not too large, so the staff can make personal recommendations—all seem to enjoy their work. Quite a marvelous and relaxing place!"
