"this was my first stay at cervantes and was a positive experience. I chose it for the low cost. The rooms were clean and mostly in good condition. However the AC in first room didn't work and they immediately upgraded me to a larger room and I had no problem. Note that the hotel is on the second floor and there is no elevator."

"Have stayed here many times. Always consistent. The restaurant is good and the staff is very friendly. Ask for Jose. David has limited restaurants that may appeal to American tastes. If you are visiting I suggest you try Boquete where you will be pleased. If spending a few nights in David then Alcala is certainly acceptable. I have lived here for 4 years so I have a little experience in these things."

"Herbie & Erica care about the guest experience obsessively. It’s home for them and you become a very welcomed guest. Follow a few house rules and relax. Breakfast is delicious. Pool and view are perfect. Tours and advice are offered. 2 nights was not enough stay longer if you can. Need a car to get there. "

"We had a one night stay over in David, just to make bus connections before continuing on our trip around Panama. The hotel was modern, clean, comfortable and cool, once we had the A/C turned on, a refreshing break from the heat of David. The hotel is nicely located near the square and reasonably close to the bus terminal.The attached restaurant was also quite convenient with decent food."
