"What a beautiful place to stay!! Right on the beautiful lake and walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in town. Also 5 minutes from Interlaken West which you walk along a quiet road to get to the hotel - very nice since the town itself can be busy. Best time to go is for New Year’s as they have a huge festival the 1st and a parade the 2nd. 5 minutes from a very cute cafe called Velo, and very close to the Victoria hotel. Reception was fabulous. "The Hotel Helvetia was perfect for my short stay in Zermatt. I had read many of the previous reviews so I was prepared. The hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the train station, there is no elevator and my room was quite small but had a balcony overlooking the street filled with people. The hotel is surrounded by shops and restaurants. This hotel was quite reasonably priced and in a great location."
