"We only stayed one night, and arrived late, after 10:30 p.m. Unfortunately, the heating had not been switched on, and the room was very cold. Neither of slept well because of the cold, so I'm sorry to say we did not enjoy our stay. The room itself was very nice, clean, and the beds were good. The shower was excellent too."

"It’s ok here, for a hotel in a town that has seen better days. A nice big room (8), clean, well maintained with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was more than big enough, with a huge walk in shower. Pity about the spots of dirt and mould in the bottom rear corners. The room even has its own outside sun deck. "Staed one night. Greeted at reception by a lovely lady. Very informative and friendly. Room 14 was a bit dated and tired. Bed not that comfortable but huge ! Pillows ok but one too little and 2 too much. Did not sleep well. Could hear every noise from people next door. Paintwork throughout hotel could do with a refresh. Carpets very worn in places. Service and food in restaurant was very good even though they were busy."

"A lovely independent hotel, located near castle and cathedral. For high street shops its a trip up and down steep hill but worth staying near the top. My room had castle view, room has good amenities . Really enjoyable stay and I recommend staying here or visiting the bar or restaurant. "
