Booked a second night for the following week ( non refundable) and couldn't bring myself to return so booked a different hotel meaning more than double the cost. No water in the shower, no food and damp bedding. Service was poor and I was made to feel unwelcome. Stayed at the Ibis budget and felt like a rock star compared to this place. Avoid like the plague."

However the highlight of our trip was the main building where there is a lovely bar with great staff and the outstanding restaurant. "We were delighted witht the whole experience. The hotel has been beautifully referbished (some rooms still being worked on. Our reception was friendly and professional, our room lovely, the evening meal, a mixture of classic cooking with a modern twist, delicious. Breakfast was great too. A young family have recently taken over the hotel, and we could see they are going to make a great success of it. Every one was friendly and helpful, making the whole stay so enjoyable.
