"When we arrived we thought it was the police station as the architecture is ‘functional’ rather than beautiful. Hotel room was lovely, very clean with good space. The bar needs some charisma added. The town is less than appealing and was mostly closed when we visited"

"We arrived in late and were still let check in and had a couple of lovely local whiskys in the bar. Breakfast the next morning was nice and simple and we were on our way. Perfect for a quick overnight stop. "

"Fabulous place to stay. The hotel is on a hill with sea views in some of the rooms. Staff are great, service was excellent , hotel is spotlessly clean and we had dinner and breakfast here and both were delicious. Probably the best place we stayed on our NC500 tour . Get a sea view room if you can."

"Second great stay at this friendly hotel.The food is cooked fresh and amazing value - cooked fresh and large portions.All the staff make you feel welcome. Room has everything you need with a piping hot shower.Waking up with the view of the beach really sets up your day especially after a great breakfast with loads of choice "

"Great one night stop in a fairway location "

"Our bedrooms were excellent.. recently modernised… the main hotel was ok service hit and miss but perhaps a skeleton crew as just after NewYear… had to request for the fires to be lit and the lighting was not good resulting in no ambiance…however the food was excellent.."

"This is overall a very nice hotel, and the room was very comfortable. My gripe is with the wi-fi. It’s hopeless. Disconnects and reconnects constantly, and is incredibly slow. I don’t actually understand how they can make it this bad. You’d have to start with a dial-up modem, but at least that might have a stable connection. "

"Fantastic location but hotel slightly dated, rooms could do with an upgrade, my bathroom was functional but water pooled around the loo. Breakfast was fine but limited for the price. Dinner was very nice though for our large group and staff were great. "
