Also a cozy bar and in nice weather a courtyard. There is a v.good Italian restaurant next door, and cafe 2 blocks away. You will want to go into Saumur Centre-- a 15 minute walk over...

"This was the best kept secret on my my month long trip to Europe. Room and bathroom were large, clean, and comfortable. The owner put a lot of resources in the rehab of this old convent. Great facility and the dining room was excellent."
