"My husband, our dog, and I spent Christmas weekend at Hotel Pousada Ilhasol. The room was comfortable and had a small private patio, which was perfect to dry our bathing suits and towels and even better for the dog to be outside off leash. The included breakfast buffet was fantastic and grounds were perfectly maintained with bird guides, a nice in-ground pool and bar. We were even able to bring the dog by the pool while we dipped our feet in. The staff was welcoming too!"

"When I arrived and was shown to my room, it did not match the room that was shown on the Hotels website. They graciously moved us to a larger room. Room had many bugs as well as in the pool area. They truly need to exterminate the area. Our air conditioner did not work with the remote control. I called and had someone come and look at it. It worked one time and then not again. Could not turn it on/off, change setting or anything...I had to unplug the unit when the room was too cold. Bed...

"I booked through Orbitz and they had pictures of nice bathrooms and rooms, but the room we got was dark, super basic and the bathroom was tiny. My wife refused to stay there. Luckily they were able to upgrade us to a better room for $US160 for 2 nights to a very nice room. Still the shower was a mess, couldn’t figure out how to make it the right temp, had a weird setup. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, but there are many mosquitoes, so be ready to wear repelent at all times. The...
