"This hotel says it is 4 star hotel. I would definitely not agree. The location is beautiful nature area near the water but the property is in serious need of attention. The immense amount of cobwebs in the pergola covered walking areas and dead vegetation in the gardens was frankly depressing and creepy. The carpet was in need of replacement 20 years ago easily. No A/C in Denmark is normal but what I don't understand is, if you KNOW everyone will have to open the windows, why wouldn't they have...

"Great property. Travelling from Canada, we drove from Copenhagen to Nyborg and decoded to stay here for the night. The staff was very friendly, offered to make us a reservation, and front desk is operational 24 hours a day. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were clean and soft. The wayer pressure in the bathroom was great and the body was really nice: wish i bought a bottle. No shampoo or conditioner. Shower was small but didn't matter to me. Dorect beach acces, great view of the belt...

Wooden cabins full of dust and dirt, old mattresses full of dust and never cleaned, lots of ants all over the cabin, couldn't get rid of them. The upper floor is climbed by a very steep ladder, absolutely unsuitable for the safety of children. No beds upstairs, only mattresses on the floor. Stale air. Nevermore."

Den ene sengelampe på værelset ved køkkenet hang der blot en strømledning men der var ingen kontakt så ingen mulighed for at anvende denne. "The hotel is visibly old and could do with a refurbishment. The room was spacious but primitive. The restaurant is recently overtaken by two younger chefs and is excellent. The hotel and restaurant are seperate businesses. The hotel staff was kind but forgetful. My partner is intolerant to Gluten but despite having called in advance and been reassured that glutenfree bread was available, it was still forgotten twice at breakfast and long waiting as consequence. "The owner did everything. He was the best traditional innkeeper I have ever encountered. He was very helpful with checking ferry times etc for us. My wife was looking for a nativity and he put us in contact with shopkeepers who might be able to help. The building itself had lots of character and history. Breakfast was excellent. Room was comfortable with a midern clean bathroom."
