"The latest renovation has improved the hotel a lot, main pub/dining area is almost unrecognisable and a great improvement. The room at least the one I stayed in had a good makeover. The bed a bit lumpy but room otherwise was nice and clean."

" We were a bit put off upon arrival, seeing an active bar and gaming area - but we had a lovely stay. Lots of locals with families and very good food. Our only issue was not being told that we should order food at the bar, so we waited in the restaurant awhile before knowing that. Our accommodations were pristine, comfortable bed, kettle and small fridge. Nice pool and a grill area, though we did not have time to use either."
