"This hotel is in a lovely locations right on the beach. It has ample parking which was free as a resident. The lobby and bar/restaurant area are renovated and nicely kept. The staff were friendly and helpful (particularly the bar and waiting staff - an asset to the hotel for sure). We had a ground floor room which opened onto the patio which overlooks the sea. Unfortunately the room definitely needs an upgrade and renovation. The doors open with physical keys rather than a key card and...

"Staying here was an delightful experience. You are in a grand house that was built in 1740 and has been beautifully and lovingly restored. Michael is the proprietor and is very friendly and easy to talk to. The gardens are lovely and there are several restaurants within easy walking distance of this charming small town. Highly recommend."

"Was a bit confusing getting to the location at first but we found our way. The size was perfect for our stay. Didn’t need anything big. The floor boards between the rooms was noisy so it was hard getting to the restroom quietly and not waking anyone. It was quiet, except when students came but that was when we were about to leave for the day. Shower was spacious and clean and hot. We really appreciated the tea and breakfast option. "

"The building was magnificent, every room was so grand. We were on the top floor so that was extremely tiring but very wide stairs so that helped. Breakfast was superb. My only criticism was the soap dispensers weren't great. Luckily, we had our own soap so there was no need for us to go up and down those stairs! I must say though, my daughter (obviously, far younger) was fine with the top floor."

"Property is in a country like setting . It is a 20 minute drive to restaurants and stores to get a bite to eat. There is no one available on the property to let you into your rooms. Spent 90 minutes trying to reach someone by phone and email. We are 60 years old and not computer smart. "

"This is a wonderful home like place to stay. The owners are AMAZING. They really go above and beyond. The breakfast was great and she took a lot of time with us explaining how to return our rental car and get through the airport. We really felt like family while we were there."
