"The decor in the property is a little dated but it was clean, the bed was very comfortable and large rooms. The chef was very personable and even arranged bacon to be available for us at breakfast even though it is not on their menu. The food was delicious and the blonde haired waitress very friendly and helpful. All in all a great stay and good value for money. "

"A really nice hotel except they rent most of it out for weddings & then you are stuck listening to loud & annoying music until 2 a.m. in the morning. We didn’t sleep at all & for the cost this luxury hotel I didn’t expect this. If you are going to allow weddings then either rent the whole hotel to the wedding or warn other guests! I would not have stayed here had I known. Very little by way of breakfast or dinner (no vegan options)."

"Great little hotel in a really nice location. Stayed for one night as we were just passing through, but the room was large and comfortable, staff were great and food was excellent. We were on a fully loaded up motorbike so the big cobbles in the car park raised the pulse slightly, but thankfully it was dry. "The staff were wonderful and accomodating, the breakfast was good (not alot of variety). Rooms were clean and good sized. One suggestion to the hotwl will be to wash their shower curtains. The inside of mone had visible stains and the bottom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. Other than that, great hotel to stay in"
