"An ideal location for the ferry. The house has great views. Modern with everything that any type of traveller might need. When the road works are completed there will be easier access to the main body of rhe Island, albeit as it currently is, we had no problems."

"Great location if you are planning to take the ferry to Kangaroo Island. There is a pub accross the street for food. Room is spacious and comfortable. The only problem was that there was a rodent trying to get into our snacks and eat my vitamins and medici left on the counter for the next morning."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night farm stay. The three bedroom farm house was very clean & well maintained. The kitchen overlooked the mountains and farm. There was a fireplace with cut wood ready for us to use. It was put to good use every night while enjoying a glass of wine! "Quirky converted beach shack in sleepy American River. Some beautiful scenery and wildlife along the river. This property presents affordable accommodation in peak season and good base to explore around east and central KI. More suited for 4 as sofa bed requires updating. Unfortunately had a blocked shower drain during our stay otherwise stay at property was comfortable. It was disappointing that the oyster farm shop previously just up the road is now permanently closed. "
