"We booked as an overnight stop on a long drive so we were grateful for a good room and an easy location not far from the main route we were travelling. We were grateful to find a good hotel that was dog friendly as we were travelling with our Cocker Spaniel. The room was a little worn in places but otherwise a very good stay. "Stayed at the hotel enroute to France.Good stop over and dog friendly although did not provide water bowl etc.Reception were friendly and efficient.2 Restaurants close by but dogs not allowed inside which is a bit of a problem in winter as too cold to sit outside.The restaurant cafe next to fuel station does however provide take out food. Would recommend this hotel as a stop over, comfortable bed and nice hot shower."

"The hotel is an old castle high up above the valley - how fantastic is that? Wonderful character with plenty to wander around and explore. We would have enjoyed the views from the rooftop terrace had the weather been a bit warmer but we enjoyed looking around the hotel and relaxing with a drink in the main central room. There was no bar as such but drinks were available from reception and we had a great meal in the restaurant. Good service throughout our stay."
