"Welcoming and full-service facilities. Dining room, front desk staff, and large parking lot. Very well located and right off of High Street. Not the most charmingly historic hotel, but an easy-to-use, not overly expensive option. Would definitely stay there again."

"I often found the bar un-manned. I either wanted a drink, to pay and leave, but often there wasn't someone there so I had to wait. My room didn't have a water container for the coffee machine and there's a very strange hallway connecting the building and the rooms which is COLD. "

The staff at the hotel were exceptionally attentive and good-humoured, which made us feel really welcomed. It was an easy check-in, helped by the fact that you can do some of it online. The place was a bit of a maze of corridors when you went up to find your room, which took a bit of getting used to when it came to navigating. One area had a rather musty smell in the corridor, but...

"The accommodation was immaculate. The room was warm and inviting. The breakfast was excellent. Eggs benedict cooked to perfection was a dish I always wanted to try. It was beautiful, with two runny yolks. This place is a little gem in Bury St Edmunds 5 minute walk to the town center I cannot recommend it enough 5 stars. "

"Such a beautiful place to stay especially during the Christmas period, the room we had was stunning, very cozy and the bed was comfortable. There was a good selection of teas and coffee. Pub/restaurant was really lovely the meal we had was delicious. Bury St Edmonds was only 20 minutes away, definitely a lovely place to visit."
