"We had a fantastic stay at Casablaca. The staff and owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. It is an easy 1 block walk to the main square. This is an excellent location to base out of to enjoy the Huasteca area. Dont mis Cascadas de Tamul!!!. The Surrealist Garden of Edward James is a nonsense paradise in the middle of mexican jungle and nowadays a well-known #must when going to Xilitla. You can get lost for couple of hours or so, just climbing up & down. Edward James was a Scottish poet and sculptor. In 1944, James arrives in Mexico with the idea of ​​"putting a Garden of Eden" in that country. Accompanied by Roland McKenzie and Plutarco Gastelum, choose a field on the edge of the Santa Maria River in Xilitla, on top of the Sierra Huasteca northeastern Mexico. He settled there and, with the help of huastecos workers, built a surreal garden.
