"This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel. Overall it is pretty good although, our room on the 4th floor had a sloping ceiling. We had a different room last year which was better. The rooms are reasonably clean, the top shelf in our cupboard was very dusty, perhaps because the cleaners can't reach. I dusted it myself. The area is handy for the Westbanhof train station and two lines of the underground as well as a number of restaurants on Mariahilfstrasse. The breakfast had a reasonable...

"Staff could be me more warmer/welcoming although it could just be a Vienna thing. Bar area not open until 6pm which isn’t helpful if you want a drink while at the hotel. The room was very spacious and had good facilities, with a 2 night stay I would have expected the tea/coffee to be topped up. Also thebhotel does have good transport links and a supermarket next door which is convenient. "

"Positives: It was cool that it was on top of ikea. Convenient and safe location. Fairly quiet during my stay. Negatives: while there was a washer/dryer available (5 euros for each token), the dryer did not work well (still had to dry all my clothes by hanging it around my bed after it was in the dryer for 45 min.). No shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided which seems to be the norm in European hostels..."
