"Room had been partially renovated. Renovations were good, but some had not been done - paint flaking etc on door, skirtings. Be prepared for a lot of road noise - windows are not double glazed even after renovation. Also had very noisy guests nearby after midnight - which of course is not the fault of the hotel. Other than that - it is a convenient location with a bistro attached for dinner and breakfast."

"As a couple we found the room adequate for our needs with a good price. Having the bar and it's dining facilities close by was a bonus and staff made us feel most welcome which made for a pleasant stay."

"Lovely clean room but not very sound proof, could hear conversations in next room quite clearly. Would not recommend the dining downstairs salad meal needed a life jacket to save it from drowning in the vinaigrette dressing. Plate of vegetables was not as advertised and smothered in dried hard herbs and over cooked. "
