"We enjoyed our stay and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were really clean and all around a nice atmosphere. The only complaint and not really a big one is that when we sat in bed watching TV the mattress kept sliding away from the headboard and we had to push the mattress back a few times to avoid losing pillows. The other item had nothing to do with the staff or hotel. There was a large group of people that pretty much took over the lobby and bar area for just their people...

"Shower was horrible! The shower had leaky connections which lead to water all over the bathroom floor and side wall with little pressure for actual shower. It’s really disappointing because everything else was nice and ease of checkin was great."

"This is a very old hotel that has been renovated. You can tell because the sprinkler system pipes are seen overhead. That leads to the unique charm of it however."

"Had a lovely stay at the Empire House Hotel. The hostess was very welcoming, the location across from the river is lovely, our dog was welcomed and they are very pet friendly. Would recommend."

Rude staff, people complaining that the owner goes through peoples things and kicks people out at 8 am"
