View over the countryside where I come from - a small village named Vartofta, located about 220km to the east of Gothenburg in Västergötland. An area mostly famous for the ancient stone- and bronze age findings (graves, jewlery, pottery), the birds of lake Hornborga and of course its many churches.

What I like about this off-the-beaten-path area is mostly the landscape. Crop fields in different sizes and colors, green hills, thick forests. It all makes a perfect place to wander off and just relax and enjoy the nature.

If ever coming to the south/west of Sweden, give me a shout and I'll give you some tips - or, if I'm not out travelling, I might even show you around the area! 😊

"Amazing place at amazing price. Of cource it IS a hostel and not a hotel, but still... To be able to stay in a real castle at a rate that's lower than almost a month any hostel or motel is a fantastic experience. Good communication before arrival, and super easy check in via a keybox.
