"It was convenient, easy to find in town.love they take pets.very clean building. It has nice rooms, but it was very loud most of the night. The hook on the bathroom door fell off and hit me on the head when i shut the door. Big gap under door, lots of hall light shining in."

"We were fairly happy. The only down side was the walls are so thin you can hear the neighbors conversation and the TVs we laughably tiny. Beyond that it was clean and everything worked. The staff in the store was outstanding...every one of them. We stayed 2 night and would not hesitate to stay again. The minor inconveniences are more than a fair trade off for the price. "

"This was a surprising find. So clean! Im very picky and there was no vacancies at any of our normal hotels. We found this little gem and i couldnt have been happier. So clean. Rooms updated. All american style. Staff is hard working and kind. One downside was that there is plastic on the beds and it definitely gets to warm for this mentalpausal women! Lol! But the bed itself, very comfy. Would of lijed to had a bigger bed but non available. Great hotel. "

"The Hillcrest appears to have been a motor inn long ago, but has been refurbished and refreshed with care and an eye for clean, modernized accommodations for customers. The primary colored chairs on the front walkway are cheery and welcoming as are the staff who are extremely friendly and helpful. "Clean, comfortable house with zipper allergy/bed bug covers on mattresses, pillows. No carpet. Excellent host, very helpful. Good location near pictured rocks. Lake Superior visible from property and is a short walk across a somewhat busy road. Nice view of lake Anna out the window. The neighbor' s houses need a lot of work, (or maybe torn down). I felt bad for them."
