"The hotel is visibly old and could do with a refurbishment. The room was spacious but primitive. The restaurant is recently overtaken by two younger chefs and is excellent. The hotel and restaurant are seperate businesses. The hotel staff was kind but forgetful. "The owner did everything. He was the best traditional innkeeper I have ever encountered. He was very helpful with checking ferry times etc for us. My wife was looking for a nativity and he put us in contact with shopkeepers who might be able to help. The building itself had lots of character and history. Breakfast was excellent. Room was comfortable with a midern clean bathroom."

"I made a booking through hotels.com. I then received check in instructions from Dancenter, which is a holiday agent in Denmark. As the booking was done through hotels.com I expected the stay to be fully paid, but when arriving at the property it was clear that on top of the hotels.com price I had to pay for electricity, water and heating. This was not explained on hotels.com. Arriving at the property I discovered that there was no bedding, so I had to go to the local supermarket and buy bedding....

"Basically this listing on hotels.com has a lot of information that is not listed on their listed but is only provided to you after you've booked. On the listing, prior to my booking, the check in time is from 0900hrs but after booking, the property sent me an email stating check in is at 1600hrs. That's a discrepancy of 7 hours! Contacted the property via hotels.com chat and they just conveniently said please refer to their website. Why didn't they just put the right information at the listing...

I really enjoyed my visit to the Museum Langelandsfort in Denmark. It is on the site of a former active military base and has a wide range of military hardware and displays. There were artillery guns, bunkers, equipment rooms, submarine, minesweeper boats, tanks and fighter aircraft on display. Unlike other similar museums which lock everything away this one allows you to get up close and personal, touch walk through and even operate some of the equipment. Allow at least 3 hours as it is a big site with a fair amount of walking in between exhibits. As a suggestion, more translation of the displayed information into English, maybe an app or audio guide would be helpful in increasing the experience for international travellers.
