"Lovely place. Quiet little town that gives you a true feeling of being in the Iceland Fjords. The only issue we had was contacting the front desk ..they provided a phone number to contact them to let us know we had arrived but our data card wouldn't let me call it so I had to kick on our roaming services from home. "It’s in a good location downtown, but you have to walk a few blocks from the main hotel where you check in and have breakfast. Nice breakfast though. There’s no staff on site. Street parking is a little tricky—we got lucky "

The staff were friendly but not entirely familiar with services supposedly offered (i.e. stamps and post services). "There is a lot of renovation going on at Reykjanes, but mostly that's on the exterior and doesn't affect the interior or your comfort in anyway. Don't let the exterior view of the building put you off. The place has an interesting history and they're building for the future. The small peninsula on which the hotel is located is interesting in itself with a salt factory, "hot beach", and of course the large hot pool. The setting and the views are pure Westfjords. It's a breathtaking one hour....or...

"Hotel seemed to be newer or newly renovated, the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. We stayed in a family room which felt like a clean hostel and was very very tight/small. We seemed to be one of the only guest staying there which made it nice to use the small common space. They had a lot of rooms so I’m not sure how it would be if the hotel had a lot of guest.
