"For the price paid, can’t fault it. Yes, the bathroom layout (sink in the room, shower with a hole instead of a lock) was strange, but can be overlooked when you take into account what you’re paying and how much other hotels are. The area might make some people feel uncomfortable, but I never felt threatened. 2 metro stations are close by and you can be in the centre quite quickly. Possibly factor in taking a taxi from the metro to the hotel if you’re travelling back late and you’re not used...

"We really enjoyed our stay in the D’win. We had two rooms in the property and they put us next to each other. The rooms were quiet no noise from the street….it is in the middle of a bustling area. The location is fabulous and so close to the Metro Hotel de Ville and a short walk from Metro Chaléte, so close to transport for getting around Paris if you don’t want to walk everywhere. "It's a basic clean hotel within walking distance of Gare du Nord and off La Fayette street and a charming place Frans Lizst with a beautiful church. The Poissoniere metro within walking distance. Excellent bakeries near by, I used to have breakfast each time in a new one, sometimes with la good view of the church. Staff has been very helpful, a difficult situation had been resolved. Location, location, location! "
