"While it may look run down because of the abandoned building next to it, you can tell the hotel has been doing work to upkeep their part. It is very well lit at night and the driveway lights help lead the way past the abandoned building/lot. It has a nice area to walk the pets. Breakfast was pretty good and our room was clean and comfortable. I would stay again. "

"I have always had good luck with American inn but not this time. The place is so run down and dirty inside and out. The bathroom stool is ready to come off the wall. The ice maker looks like it has not ever been cleaned. The rain gutter is falling off and the retaining wall has been destroyed. "

"Lake location is lovely, enhanced by kayak access. Convenient to the college, stores, etc. and our daughter's house on the same street. Communication with hosts was excellent and prompt; check-in was easy. A group of seniors, so ground floor bed/bath was great and downstairs bed/bath was very private. Made great use of four season patio for breakfast & lunch, well supplied with board games. Hope to stay here again next year. Thanks so much to our great hosts!"
