"Advertising the hotel as pet-friendly and sneaking in a 15,90 EUR extra fee per night afterwards is outrageous. Total nightly fee of EUR 90 EUR for a quick driving pit stop is very poor value compared to other road hotels in France and Italy within a day's drive, which were both cheaper and much nicer (room, beds, bathrooms, surrounding areas...) The area was mediocre, the hotel is in a 'food/restaurant desert', the doors could only be closed by slamming them which meant overnight each time...

"We had a pleasant stay at the Hotel de France. The location is perfect as it is walking distance from the train station and in the city centre. You have plenty of bakeries and shops around the hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We actually slept like babies as the bedding was so comfortable! "We had a room with a sunny balcony, the bed was very comfortable, the breakfasts every morning were excellent. The bath had neither a plug or a shower curtain, the only option was to knell and use the hand shower. We were disappointed to be told that the restaurant was closed Sunday evening and all day Monday, none of the other local restaurants were open."
