"The hotel itself was nice enough but we were very disappointed on arrival to find that the bar and the restaurant were both closed for reasons my Spanish was not good enough to understand. The promised restaurants in the village turned out to also be closed but we were eventually able to find some snacks at a bar. Having specifically booked a place with bar and restaurant it is very annoying to have to traipse around finding something to eat after a day's travelling. "

"This was a great place to stay on our recent trip to the Basque country and Rioja; in a small village in the rolling hills before the mountains which is also on the Camino trail. Rosario is an excellent host with really good advice on places to visit, where to dine, Bodegas etc. She recommended we went to Escaray for the evening which was a lovely detour up into the nearby mountain range."

"Ett Casa Rural som ligger totalt avsides i en helt avfolkad by behöver något positivt för att motivera 28 km vandring på Caminon. Detta Casa rural saknade allt, värdfolk, värme eller någon form av mat eller dryck. Besvikelsen blev stor och vi frös mycket i denna 14-gradiga byggnad!"
