"Stayed for 2 nights with my 84 year old mum for a girlie few days away. Our room was at the back courtyard of the inn (I think thatā€™s where they all are). So easy access for mum. Parking close to the room. Room was spacious with modern decor and en-suite bathroom. Hosts were chatty without being intrusive. Breakfast both days and the evening meal we had were delicious and more than ample servings. Itā€™s a quirky inn with loads of character. The bar area is in keeping with the age of the inn....

"The hotel is centrally located. I had a comfortable room and it was clean. Plenty of coffee and tea. Needs refurbishing hotel wise but I wss surprised it was quiet and comfortable "

"I stayed Monday to Friday as I was working in Whitehaven. Kitchen had everything I needed, bed was comfy, nice reclining sofasvand good wifi. House was well located, took a stroll to the castle in the evening and the co-op supermarket v. close, quite big and with a good selection."
