"A good stay but it would have been better if the bar was open, not just at weekends and there was an option for the evening meal (which was OK but only just). The evening meal was "almost cold" seafood soup followed by "warm" salmon. No choice. We weren't even told about it. Staff were great and what made the visit extra special was the beautiful mass the following morning at 11:00. It says it's a 13 min walk but it's not, you need a car. "While the address and some of the photos on the listing doesn't match the correct property (it's for another one in a village nearby), we knew this ahead of time so had no issues. I'd definitely recommend going for the top floor rooms, as they're larger in size and have a nice view out to the street. Breakfast was included and contains half a croissant, slice of toast, a small cake and 1.5 muffins per person along with juice and tea/coffee."

"Very nice place. We were unlucky as we had two days of rain. Room very nice. Only discounts for: - no heating in bathroom - very cold tiles and no slippers. Would be easy to put those. There was a space heater, but it cannot be moved to the bathroom (no plug) - internet did not reach top floor"

"El hostal está justo al lado de la N1 Burgos- Madrid y se oye continuamente el pasar de vehículos. Por ese motivo es un alojamiento en el cual no repetiría, no se puede descansar adecuadamente. Por lo demás, en líneas generales bien, limpieza, calefacción, comodidad, acceso, etc."

"The hotel was in the perfect position for leaving the car and getting the bus into Segovia. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately we would not recommend the restaurant. "The Hostal is in an excellent location - just next to a park in the centre of Guadarrama, which is an excellent base for exploring the Sierra and visiting El Escorial. It is attached to a popular bar serving good food. The Hostal is quite typical for Spain: all the basics but no frills for a very reasonable price. Room was perfectly adequate and very clean.
