"This was a beautiful old hotel, the staff tried very hard to accommodate and overcome any language barriers. The bar was small and cute and the heated pool and spa looked beautiful. Our room had no lifts only a narrow set of old stairs, that was a struggle with our luggage. The room itself was very noisy at night we both woke up on several occasions due to the sounds of the old building. "Everything was great about this place. Super clean, right in the beach, and close to downtown and the casino. There was just one really odd element- I tried to buy a bottle of wine at the bar downstairs to take up to my room, and this seemed to be a big hassle. The bartender had to call some one to find out how to ring it up and the tried to give me 4 glasses- I can’t imagine it’s a foreign concept for someone to want a bottle of wine in their room. "

"Lovely hotel. It’s very nice that they have a complimentary shuttle into town and a symbiotic relationship with their sister property in town, Le Normandy. Be sure to check out live piano music there on the weekend. Beware that they don’t speak any English at this property, which I found surprising for a four star. "

"I did have a great stay and it has a potential to be a great hotel. They did upgrade us which was so nice but it’s the little things like having hooks to hang your towel in the bathroom, they ask you to reuse your towels then there should be some where to hang them. Unfortunately I found the downstairs bed to be lumpy and that I was pretty sore when I woke up in the morning. My sister slept upstairs and said that hers was fine.
