"On my visit to Norway I looked for a property close to where I was working. As a keen golfer I noticed the property advertised an on site golf course and driving range. This was the main reason I booked this hotel. I paid extra to fly my clubs over. To my surprise on arrival there was not a golf course in site or driving range. When I enquired about the facility’s I was told the nearest course was over 20 minutes away. This was really disappointing. The property didn’t have an electric charge...

"It’s located in a centralized location near the pedestrian street with many shops and restaurants. Free parking is provided. The room is the tiniest we’ve encountered on our more than 2 week visit in Norway, therefore, difficult in which to maneuver. It was also very warm with the sun shining brightly inside it. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a variety of choices. I would stay here again. "

"The Scandic Hamar is a very clean hotel and they offer a good breakfast buffet. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well appointed. What was not so good was the staff and their attitude toward guests. They were not friendly, did not smile or offer a welcoming word. In most interactions, they seemed almost annoyed to be bothered by have to check in guests, answer questions or service the breakfast buffet. I could chalk this up to the standoff-ish Norwegian personality, but even so, they...
