"The posada is a beautiful old building, perfectly maintained and spotlessly clean. Communication was a little difficult with the owners due to my limited Spanish and their limited English - but we managed! We had a lovely room and a very comfortable bed. It was 4km to drive to the nearest town for dinner. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice of local and homemade food. We stayed here on our way back to Bilbao airport after holidaying further west. It is very rural, south of Santillana...

"We did not stay there because the information in the site was that this place is 6.1 miles from posada de valdeon which is misleading and since no one in the hotel could communicate with us in English when we called. "Do not book this hotel! They stole our money! We arrived after driving a trechetous route to the farm house. When we got there they had all the doors locked and we couldn’t reach them by phone. Expedia was absolutely NO help and we were stuck with paying the bill! We never received an email from them either. "
