"The Hotel de Lac is set in a stunning location overlooking a lake. The rooms are fine in line with its 2 star rating and the owner and staff were very personable and helpful. We had a meal in the dining room overlooking the lake and it was of a high standard. The local town of Colberg is very historic and it is overlooked by a n ancient castle. In summary highly recommended."

"This was quite frankly the worst hotel stay we have had. Not because the room was poor, but because we never saw the owner. We were given a code and let ouselves in. We heard the odd sound which indicated we were not alone - quite spooky really. The owner responded to our call but merely to give instructions - nothing more. "It was a great place in the middle of the walled city. Able to walk anywhere. Great crepes across the way!! I would suggest parking your car outside and not driving in the walled part. "

Positives: first, the location of the hotel is amazing it's near the bus stop and a lot of restaurants and café and bars. 2nd, the bed is comfortable. 3rd the room is decorated very well and the colors and lighting are good. Negatives: 1st, the reception was not welcoming he seemed angry or upset for some reason which is disappointing. 2nd, the card to open the door did not work so we had to carry a key the whole time. 3rd, cleaning...
