"Advertising the hotel as pet-friendly and sneaking in a 15,90 EUR extra fee per night afterwards is outrageous. Total nightly fee of EUR 90 EUR for a quick driving pit stop is very poor value compared to other road hotels in France and Italy within a day's drive, which were both cheaper and much nicer (room, beds, bathrooms, surrounding areas...) The area was mediocre, the hotel is in a 'food/restaurant desert', the doors could only be closed by slamming them which meant overnight each time...

"For a bed for the night it was great, I arrived at 11:30pm, had an access code to get in, everything worked perfectly and I got 6 hours cracking sleep before I left at 06:00 the following morning, even the vending machines worked in the reception area for coffee and juice. "

"We had a pleasant stay at the Hotel de France. The location is perfect as it is walking distance from the train station and in the city centre. You have plenty of bakeries and shops around the hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We actually slept like babies as the bedding was so comfortable! "Good location. Serviceable hotel. For a two star hotel, it was good. But compared to normal hotels (like, Holiday Inn, etc.) - not great. Beds were uncomfortable. No shampoo, conditioner, etc. No wash clothes, only one hand towel. Breakfast was just a continental breakfast - the best thing about the breakfast was the convenience. Their amenities say discount parking nearby - that is false. There is a lot nearby, but no discount."
