"The place was great. The people at the front desk, bell staff and housekeeping were the best and most helpful. Our stay was near the end of the season so the restaurant was understaffed and a little slow. On the other hand there are so many great places to eat within short walking distance it didn't really matter. Highly recommended. Next time I will split time between here and old Chania."

"This isnt 5 star so if thats what you want dont go here. We were looking for a base to sleep and explore crete and this was perfect. Nice pool, beach and sea within metres of our room and A/C in rooms. The rooms themselves could do with updating regards to furniture etc but again the hotel was perfect for what we needed."

"Simple and inexpensive accommodations. Beach is right there! Clean and well-kept. Wifi was almost pointless- barely got any signal. Shower was tiny, water gets everywhere even with best efforts to keep curtain in place. We were only there to sleep so it was fine. If you wanted a place to hang out it had no character or charm."

The property has a nice 'summer home' feel about it. There is a local mini market 50 metres away and some nice tavernas 200 metres up a slight hill. The main road into Chania has a few miles of tourist shops, which will suit some people more than others. You can get a bus into Chania easily enough. It would be unpleasant to walk that far on a hot...
