"Absolutely lovely artsy hotel. Quiet and private, except when it got too hot and we needed the windows open to sleep - so did adjacent rooms :-D Not a common situation in Wellington though. Loved all the details in the room and the common areas. The twin beds were super comfy and the bathroom roomy. "Overall, we had a relaxed and pleasant stay. The staff, especially Sheila, at the front desk, were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again also because the location is centralized in the CBD to many locations of interest. We so enjoyed being close to the wharf area with its restaurants, museums, shops, and views of the harbor. Staying at the DoubleTree added to the making our first Wellington trip a memorable one."
